I finally got to watch “Scream VI” courtesy of Rooftop Cinema Club. If you’re looking for things to do in downtown houston; This beautiful location marks the world’s first two screen movie theater.
I predict Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown will become one the most popular places to visit in Houston soon. It has an unique selection of movies, a bar serving margaritas, and plenty of Instagram worthy backdrops.

I tend to miss out on a lot of things to do in downtown houston because I can’t be bothered with trying to locate parking in the city. If you’re like me, you will be pleased to know the Rooftop Cinema Club in Uptown has a free parking garage connected to the theater.
You can park on the fourth or fifth level of the Blvd Place parking garage. The theater itself is located on the fifth floor above the largest “Whole Foods” I’ve personally ever seen.
All of the florals and vibrant decor will let you know you have arrived at the right place for movie night. I suggest arriving a bit before your scheduled movie time to get the full Rooftop Cinema Club experience. I had a canned Rosé and an ice cream before even starting the movie.
There are games, concessions, and Pinterest worthy photo spots in the “lobby” of the theater. If you get there early enough, you can sit with your friends to win a game of giant “Jenga” or “Cards Against Humanity” as the sun sets.
You will receive a pair of headphones to listen to the movie. It makes the experience just that much better.
